Spiritual Direction
Spiritual direction is a contemplative practice in which a person attentive to their own spiritual journey (the director) companions a spiritual seeker (the directee) as the latter explores how they might awaken to the presence of God in all dimensions of their life.
The directee is invited to cultivate an interior freedom to listen deeply and sense the Sacred within themselves, to trust in this Sacred presence within, to discern for themselves the Sacred’s invitations and resources. This naturally leads to new levels of inner freedom, peace, alignment, and wholeness.
A trained spiritual director recognizes the true spiritual director for the directee is the Holy Spirit.
I pledge myself to listen with you for the presence of God and to help you notice God’s movement in your life.
Our conversations together are always confidential; however, I ask your permission to share information (without using your name) with my supervisor. It is important for spiritual directors to be in spiritual direction themselves as well as being in supervision as a part of our own spiritual and professional growth as well as abiding by the SDI ethical guidelines for all spiritual directors and companions.
